The master bedroom. I lived in a teeny tiny apartment for far longer than I should have prior to us purchasing our home. So I fantasized about having a master bedroom that was my SANCTUARY. A place to unwind, have solitude and relaxation. My space.
I fell in love with this house, before seeing the master. So when I saw how small it was…..I didn’t care. I figured I’d make it work, but I had no idea I’d be able to make it work as well as I have. I’ve been able to fit a queen-size bed, side tables, and a loveseat!
Before I get started with links and details, here’s a tip that saved me a lot of frustration. Measure. Take out some painter’s tape, map out where you would ideally like each piece of furniture to go. Then measure the dimensions of those spaces (Width, Depth, Height). When your searching for furniture online, if available, filter the search criteria to pieces that fall within those measurements.
If you do this, finding all the furniture you want to fit your spaces, will be soo much easier.
LAMPS (Mirrors & Side Tables)
I had planned on doing the all so popular Gray and White color (or lack thereof) palette in the master bedroom, and then I saw these lamps. I’m so glad I did because I love the black element in my master. These lamps are beautiful. You can grab them here.
These mirrors are equally beautiful. I plan on having them mounted at some point. You can grab them here.
The end table surprised me with their size. They are much larger than they appear in photos. At the time of this posting, they are sold out but will be back in stock in November. Here they are.
Bed

I’m trying to not start all my sentences with “I love….”, but I really love everything in this room!! However, beware if you are purchasing this bed. It definitely is a true Blue Gray rather than Gray. It photographs simply gray. The fabric is velvet and gorgeous. Here is a photo of it that shows the footboard.

Wall Prints
I was on the hunt for a set of Black and White photos in 16×20 Black Frames with a Matte Inlay for a while. After not being able to find anything that fits all of my wants, I decided to just make my own. I had no idea that Amazon delivers prints! I purchased the frames here, found photos that I loved on Unsplash.com, and ordered the prints on Amazon.
Curtains

These are the same curtains used in my Living Room. Links are posted for those here.
RUG

This rug is beautiful!! The color of the design in the rug perfectly matches the blue-gray of my bed. I purchased the 5 x 8.

LOVESEAT
I struggled to try to get a full photo of the loveseat in this limited space soo, enjoy one from this wide-angled lens. The loveseat is from Sofamania. It fits….perfectly….at the foot of the bed. If you’re interested in hearing more about my experience with them, let me know.
Only one thing left to do in this room, and that is changing the ceiling fan. I need to change all of the upstairs light fixtures, so in due time.
If I left anything out, please let me know!
xoxo
